It's Time

They just came to take Brody for his procedure. Very hard to let him go, but we have no choice. They say it can take anywhere from 6-8 hours. He was very alert before he left...it was very strange. He kept opening his eyes at the sound of our voices, and moving his feet and hands. I think he is trying to tell us that he is going to be okay. God please watch over our little angel!

Praying for you! By this time Brody is well into his procedure and I will say a prayer for him now. Hang in there, God is watching over him.

  3. You probably don't know me but I am a "Heart Mom" too. Our Kyle who is now 14 had a heart transplant in Dec. 2008. Julie told us about little Brody and I have been praying for him and your family since. Doug probably knows my husband, Kenton. Kyle was born with a severe heart defect also and is now well known at CMH in KC. He had a heart transplant in St. Louis in Dec. 2008. We met some other families whose children doctored in Omaha. I am sure all of the doctors are talking to their colleagues like you said. Brody sounds like a tough little boy. I am sure by now you know if the ablation worked or not. Kyle had to have one a couple months after his transplant and has not had any problems since. We just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and you are in our prayers. "Heart kids" are very special little people, brave beyond belief and they teach you so much about life. Know that we are thinking of you and will continue to pray for you.
